Natural Disasters and the US Census

This report by Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy students looks at the impact of natural disasters on Census enumeration. The report  attempts to address 2 questions:

• How do we mitigate the effect of natural disasters on the accuracy of the US Census Bureau, and
• How do we track discplaced populations after natural disasters to maintain the accuracy of the Census
